Did you know that ASC regularly posts on National Geographic’s Explorers Journal? You can see all our posts on our profile. Read the latest post from our Program Director Mike Kautz about his recent high elevation data collection adventure, “Hardened Alpinists Don’t Complain.”

Donate Your Vehicle to Science

IMG_3463

ASC has grown exponentially in its first three years and now we’re taking to the road. We need a reliable used vehicle for supporting our science outings and recruiting more adventure-scientists. Our staff’s personal vehicles have more than a million combined miles, led by Gregg’s 22-year old Subaru Legacy with 239,000 miles.

If you have an extra vehicle please consider donating it to ASC. You can claim the full fair-market value of the vehicle as a tax deduction because ASC will continue to use it (what the IRS calls “significant intervening use”). Contact us if you’re interested in helping at info@adventureandscience.org with the subject “Vehicle Donation” or call 406-579-9702.

ASC Project Highlight:

New Project: Global Cave Biology Initiative

From a scientific perspective there is a large void of scientific knowledge about caves and their inhabitants. If you like to explore caves then you can help fill this void through noninvasive data collection techniques. Learn more about the project on our Global Cave Biology Initiative website.
