Arctic Row – Collecting Plankton and Whale Data While at Sea

The Arctic Row Team has set off on the first unsupported row across the Arctic Ocean.  Along the 1,300 mile stretch from Inuvik, Canada to Providenya, Russia they will collect data on whales and plankton to help scientists understand how whales uses senses to find their food.  The expedition is important to the science community, as researchers have not yet been able to collect data on whale olefactory finding in this part of the world.
