EASTERN HEMLOCKS FIELD DAY

JOIN STAFF FOR A DAY TRACKING HEMLOCKS

Adventure Scientists staff will be out on trail this upcoming Friday, February 7th, to search for candidate lingering hemlock, as part of the Tracking Eastern Hemlock project. We are excited to invite you to join us! This is an informal gathering for any folks in the area to come out and meet some of the team behind the project, and join us in our scouting adventure.

Where:

We will be venturing out at Buzzard Rock Trail in the George Washington National Forest, near Front Royal, VA.

When:

We will meet at the Buzzard Rock trailhead on Friday, February 7th, 2025 at 9:00AM. We will hike 2-3 hours, and then invite you to join us at a celebratory lunch at Vibrissa Beer in Front Royal, VA.

You may join for the hike at 9AM, or for lunch at 1PM, or both!

What:

We will be observing on the trail for candidate lingering hemlock. All participants must sign up and go through the training prior to joining the event.
