An In-Depth Look at the Timber Tracking Project From KCET's 'Earth Focus'

5/10/2019

"Earth Focus"is an environmental news magazine produced by the Public Media Group of Southern California that features investigative reports and in-depth stories about our changing environment and how it affects people around the world.

Season 2, now airing on broadcast tv and available online, examines how communities are transitioning and adapting from different energy sources and how the laws of supply and demand affect the environment and people in different ways.

For Episode 3, the the show takes on the world of illegal logging and features Adventure Scientists' Timber Tracking project through interviews and footage of our scientific partners at the National Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory, and two of our volunteers, Gisele and Renê Guerra, at work in the field.

It's a great opportunity to see the faces and hear the voices of both adventurers and scientists working on this high-stakes issue. Enjoy and help spread the word by sharing with your social networks!

Adventure Scientists is thrilled to be a part of this annual event, not only because of the much needed support it provides us, but because of the spotlight it shines in this global age on all the great work being done locally as well.

Wherever you are, during the big event you can visit givebiggv.org and make a donation to us and/or to any of the great participating nonprofit organizations in Gallatin County.
